Honorlock Setup Guide

Honorlock is the online proctoring service required for all NHCO certification exams. Before starting your exam, candidates must complete the Honorlock setup process, including installing the required browser extension and verifying that their device meets testing requirements.

Installation Steps

Complete the following steps before accessing your exam:

  1. Download and install Google Chrome.
    • NHCO exams require Google Chrome and are not compatible with other browsers.
  2. Install the Honorlock Chrome Extension.
  3. Restart Google Chrome after installation.
  4. Run the Honorlock System Check to verify your device is ready for testing.
  5. Return to your exam and begin the launch process.
During Setup

When prompted by Honorlock, you must allow the following permissions:

✔ Camera
 ✔ Microphone
 ✔ Screen Sharing

Always select Allow when prompted.

Selecting Block for any required permission may prevent the exam from loading or completing the launch process successfully.

Important Information
  • Honorlock must be installed and active before starting your exam.
  • A working camera and microphone are required for exam proctoring.
  • Candidates should complete the Honorlock setup and system check before exam day to avoid delays.
  • Technical issues caused by incomplete setup may prevent the exam from launching properly.
