Extension Requests

NHCO does not offer extensions for exam or application access periods. Candidates are provided with a specific access timeframe based on the type of application or exam attempt purchased. Access periods begin on the original purchase date and cannot be extended. Candidates are responsible for completing all application requirements and exam attempts within the assigned access period.

Access Period Policy

Exam access periods are based on the date of purchase:

  • First Attempt Application: Access is available for 90 days from the date of purchase.
  • Subsequent Exam Attempts: Access is available for 30 days from the date of purchase.

The access period does not begin when an application is submitted, approved, or when the candidate begins the exam. It begins on the original purchase date.

Extension Policy

Extension requests cannot be approved.

Candidates should plan accordingly to ensure they complete their exam requirements before their access period expires.

If access has expired, candidates may purchase a new application or exam attempt, if eligible.
